Since 1989, the Industrial and Services Co-operative Society Limited (ISCOS) has been extending friendship and support to its members (ex-offenders) and their families so that they can lead meaningful and productive lives. Under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs, ISCOS is the only co-operative in Singapore that actively engages the community to help ex-offenders gain a foothold in society.

ISCOS is proud to be one of the founding members of the Community Action for the Rehabilitation of Ex-Offenders (CARE) Network which organises the annual Yellow Ribbon Project.

VISION

Enabling ex-offenders to achieve sustainable careers, build cohesive families, and lead positive lives.

MISSION

To promote self-esteem and economic independence in ex-offenders while guiding them towards good citizenship and good value systems.

VALUES

Flexibility

We strive to provide programmes and services that are relevant to the beneficiaries, based on individual needs.

Integrity

We strive to always do the right thing. It is important to set a positive example by exhibiting the value of integrity in our work and the way we serve our stakeholders.

Respect

We strive to treat our members and beneficiaries with respect. We must also show respect to our partners donors and volunteers, as it is through mutual respect that we could work together to help improve the lives of our beneficiaries.

Empathy

We aim to be able to understand and share the feelings of our beneficiaries and fellow colleagues towards creating a more humane and caring environment.

Unveiled in 2014, the new ISCOS logo features a symbol resembling a pair of wings and a heart. The wings suggest ISCOS’ role in helping ex-offenders soar towards a better future, while the heart represents care and dedication. Together, these symbolise ISCOS’ hope for members to receive care and re-adapt well to life in the community.

The colours blue and yellow have been chosen to reflect a new beginning. at ISCOS. Blue represents the sky, while yellow with a gold tint represents the dawn of a new day. The play of two blues in the wings adds the element of movement through shadow, taking flight towards a better future.

The tagline “You’ve Got A Friend” demonstrates how ISCOS is a place of welcome where we befriend  our members and beneficiaries, helping them to find a foothold in the community.
